City of Bristol, BS1 5UH, United Kingdom

The biggest event to take place within the city’s boundaries, the Bristol Harbour Festival has something for everyone.

The festival is free for all and brings over 250,000 people together each summer to celebrate our rich maritime history and enjoy some of the city’s best music and entertainment.

From the SS Great Britain all the way into the heart of Bristol, tall ships, music stages, dance areas, food markets, water display teams and circus acts combine to ensure that everywhere you turn, there’s something to delight and entertain.

Highlights include:

The Circus Playground at Queen Square
For the first time, Queen Square welcomes Cirque Bijou with their family-friendly mashup of circus, street theatre, comedy, walkabout and things to play, make and do.

Queen Square will also be bursting with enticing aromas and flavours from the ever-popular food market.

Bristol Dances at Millennium Square
Some of the city’s best dance companies showcase local talent, with opportunities to take part in workshops ranging from Kathak to Jive! Learn Bollywood and Indian Folk, or take your toddlers to Tiny Toes Ballet to let your little ones learn how to dance.

The Centre Stage at Cascade Steps
Jelli Records will be collaborating with bands and artists to keep the streets rocking all weekend. Expect to hear everything from plenty of foot stomping music to acoustic folk.

The Dockside Stage at The Grove
If you want to feel the pulse of the Bristol music scene right now, then make a beeline for The Grove where iconic venue Thekla is hosting the Dockside Stage.

The Dockside Stage is where some of the most exciting live performers in the city will be lining up to play for your enjoyment across the two days of the Harbour Festival

Discovery Stage at Museum Square
Access Creative College has been casting its nets far and wide to find talented young musicians. Expect to hear from the next generation of artists who are starting to make waves.

Spoken Word at Cathedral Walk
Programmed by one of Bristol's leading poets and performers Rebecca Tantony, the Spoken Word area will host performances from Joelle Taylor, Toby Thompson, Deanna Rodger, Yoniverse, Tom Sastry and Dizraeli.

Bristol Music Stage at The Amphitheatre
As the Bristol Harbour Festival once again celebrates all the city's communities and cultures, a stellar line-up of artists, bands and choirs has been put together to celebrate music from down the years.

More music can be found at the SS Great Britain, Grain Barge and the Louisiana.

Maritime on the Water
Bristol's seafaring history has always been at the heart of the Harbour Festival, celebrating the waterways which make the city so beautiful, and its shipbuilding past. With the Floating Harbour a medley of tall ships and other visiting craft and many jaw-dropping displays on the water, the shoreline will be the place to be once again.

This year we’re delighted to welcome the World’s smallest tall ship and Anny, a three-mast schooner who will make her first UK festival appearance in Bristol.

There is something for everyone, come and celebrate all that this city has to offer!
