Don’t miss the 27th annual Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair, presented by the Buckingham Canal Society on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of July.
Firstly, a Big Thank You to everyone who helped make the 2019 Cosgrove Canal Festival & Craft Fair a great success.
The event is run each year by the Society to raise money for the restoration of the Buckingham Canal between Cosgrove and Buckingham and to spread the word about our work. Members from the Society will be there for you to chat to about their plans for the canal and you can discover which sections of it will be in water soon. With so much happening over the last few months, especially with the ongoing restoration of Cosgrove’s Bridge No.1 and the progress in re-watering further along the canal toward the A5, there certainly will be a lot to talk about!
Throughout the whole festival weekend you will find many historic and trade boats, craft and games stalls, plenty of entertainment and refreshments, and so much more. The event will be full of fun for the whole family and is set primarily alongside the picturesque towpath between the lock at Cosgrove and the recently refurbished Iron Trunk Aqueduct. The Craft Fair, in it’s 6th year, will be in the nearby Cosgrove Village Hall, only a short walk from the canal.
